I think the average Joe dollar cost averages and isn't losing any sleep over what's happening now. I think those who thought they were traders last year took their licks, ran out of money, and now focus on doing other things during the day -- say, like working.

Maybe we'll see a productivity spike because people won't be checking their stocks at work every five minutes ;-)

My analysis is based on a survey of a cross section of friends and people where I work. Margin of error +/- 50%
