Semiconeng, I noticed in Otellini's IDF slide #21 that 85% of worldwide server units shipped in Q300 were Intel architecture. That's pretty incredible considering the Pentium Pro is only six years old (there were small servers based on Pentiums before that). The rest would be Sun, Alpha based, some MIPS, Power PC, mainframes, what else? Also, reading the graph, about 900,000 such IA units shipped in Q3. It's also a still growing segment. No wonder Intel is emphasizing server chips so much: 900 MHz Xeon 1M, 2M this quarter, Foster DP and MP H2, Itaniums, Tualatin...it will be nice when this segment gets near passing desktop in revenues, wonder when?
