Ray,

I'm afraid my daily exercises are more along the lines of mental masterbation.

Actually, my partner and I run a virtual enterprise and use the net extensively for file transfers. Much of this stuff is jpeg.

Doesn't HDTV require about a ten X bandwidth enhancement?

The current streaming video I now receive consists of a tiny 4" X 4" area, all in herky jerky over a 1 meg line. Are these MPEG compression?

I'm glad you threw in that qualifier. The 18,000 footer threw me out of the DSL arena, much to my chagrin. It actually took SBC three months to figure it out. The cable guy was here two days later and set me up.

No complaints about RoadRunner, except the failure to notify when they have scheduled downtime. This I consider to be a blatently stupid management failure on their part. After all, they do have everyone's email address, and it would cost nothing to send the message.
