rampant consumerism endemic in this country Hi Brian, If it weren't for the rampant consumerism of Americans, wouldn't the market for Applied's products be drastically reduced? I can't believe some of the junk Americans buy, but if they were to cut back on their purchases of computers, digital cameras, MP3 players, DVD players, etc. it would certainly hurt the electronics supply chain and all us greedy tech investors.
