Good that you posted the article Mike. When I started pronouncing ADSL dead, there were claims from several sources asking
for the "hard facts" pointing those 'projections' as proof that I was wrong. But is like Vixen says in the article, the analysts
projections are meant to impress the initiated.

Thanks

elmat

you are making up another theory.
We do not need analysts projection about DSL.
Look how many lines were installed and bougth by ILECs 2000, Siemens spending 1.5B for EN, SBC saying that Q1 will be few panny lower b/c they have to upgrade faster Ameritech newtwork, inclding extra spending for DSL.
I know , I know elmo theory says they are wasting billions to sitisfy FCC. Sure, SBC , VZ, Bell South recently discover how to transform copper into gold, so they have so many billion $. they can waste several each year"
Very well elmo, great theory.
BTW, Frontier Comm (Global Crossing ) in Rochester , NY is adding lots of new customers for DSL every day.Now only residential but aslo for small businesses (SDSL,,etc)
"another case of wasting money" accoring to elmo.(LOL)
Hey elmo, why people and small businesses are asking for this xDSL?
Some are on waiting list!

Keep talking......
