Why not use CDMA2000 1XEV which will download the song in only 11 sec using a mear 1.25MHz of spectrum.

I hate that slide. It is an example of the endless hyping by wireless companies of new technologies....that inevitably end up disappointing the customer. The data rates that IJ uses are peak data rates. These are unlikely to be reality except in a very small percentage of the cases. I doubt we will ever use HDR to download an MP3 file in 11 seconds. You would have to be standing underneath the antenna tower as the only data user to enable speeds that fast.

I am sure that in a couple of years when HDR is commercial we are going to be hearing how it failed to live up to expectations since everybody cant get 2.4Mbps. I would rather have the wireless companies underpromise and overperform....
