If Dell is selling as many P4's as some claim on this thread, they should be able to turn around a new order in a matter of minutes. And maybe they do when they can. But since you can configure a Dell system in virtually an infinite number of ways, how long do you let them sit around to find out? How do you know that some of the "refurbs" that disappear during the day aren't filling regular orders? Maybe they just put everything on the refurb site and if you can use it, great (and sell it a full price, then take it off the list), but if you can't, get it out the door. All in all, the number of systems available through the refurb site are usually very small. I'm a lot more inclined to believe that discounted systems are returns. Of course you are. And I doubt you'll change your mind. But, as with Dan, it's not you I'm really worried about. p.s. I just check the Dell refurb site and they have about 360 Dimension 8100 P4s on the list now. Versus 750 Dimension 4100s. Looks like all's right with the world, again. But 750 of those 8100's sure went fast.
