If Dell has 20% of the roughly 150M PC market this year, they'll ship 82,000 systems per day.
Actually, DELL had 13% of the W/W PC market in Q4. DELL's W/W PC shipments were 4.771M units, ~53KU/day. These include portables, workstations and PC servers. Figure about 3.6M Desktops PC's, or ~40KU/day. (IDC shipment numbers).
The 2300 systems represents 3% of a days shipments. Even in this period of belt-tightening by individuals and corporations, a 3% cancelled order rate still seems high to me, but again, may have represented a cancellation of a large order or two.
As I figure it, The 2300 systems represents ~6% of a days desktop shipments.
Also, I think the industry will be hard pressed to show flat YOY sales of ~125M units.
