I was told by a Dell tech that the new systems come with a image of the original configuration, hidden somewhere on the disk.

If,and I suspect so,it's the same program as in the past it's called ZZ Top.

It's a type of reformat that restores your computer to its original factory condition.It does not restore your personal settings or addon programs.Not exactly a walk in the park.

Drive Image will serve you much better.
