How do you think AMD's track record on the 760MP will play out for "potential" customers? Do you think those customers will look only at the cheap prices AMD will offer? And - since the volumes are comparatively low with respect to Desktop CPUS - and AMD's only lever is their cheap CPU prices - just what will AMD have to gain by entering this market ? Answer - very little - low volume and low ASPs. Re: "Only 30% of the server CPUs will be shielded from AMD competition." Cool - and I'll bet that 30% covers the HIGHEST margin Intel XEON CPUs !! Glad to know that AMD won't be pissing in Intel's High Margin Server Soup any time soon.
