Are billionaires less deserving of pardons than other people?

People say that an ordinary person wouldn't have gotten the pardon, but that ignores the fact that an ordinary person wouldn't have been singled out for special treatment by the prosecutors in the first place.

It's kind of amazing to me that everyone is acting as if right in this case lies all with one side, as if there were no possibility of a valid argument on the other side. Particularly disgusting is the way the Senators of both parties have not been even a little bit bashful about having obviously made up their minds about the case before they even heard a single witness.
