I first got out in early August but I was so much of a bull, I soon got back in and road the market down until November and got out. If I had only done the same with my IRA. The reasons were the overall conditions of the market, high pe's etc along with what Bob Brinker was saying on his radio program and in his newsletter. He told people to get out in January of 2000. He was a little early as the peak was in March, but still a good call.

You forgot to mention he also recommended getting back 'in' via the QQQ's when they were trading in the $70's during the second half of 2000. Timing works in both directions. Those that can, make millions and we never hear of them. Those that can't, have radio programs, newsletters and write books like "The Gorilla Game".....

Ouch!
