To me, then, the situation with assisted suicide is only a little better, and it is very dubious, if understandable, to acquiesce to such a request......... I don't know what to say. In our earlier discussions you have demonstrated an ear for perspectives not your own, but not on this one. Why would you give examples of premature murder when I'm talking about suicide? It's hard for me to understand why a remotely humane human would want another human or other animal to suffer unnecessarily. The only reason I've ever heard is the religious one which says it's wrong to not wait for God's choice of a time of death. Is that where you're coming from on this? Or are you concerned about a slippery slope regarding the value society puts on life? Karen
