Apollo,

why does Geoffrey Moore label [Peregrine] a potential gorilla candidate?

The company has proprietary, open technology. DS tells us there are high switching costs (though low barriers to entry.) Your friend at dinner thinks the company has crossed the chasm. Moore believes the company is the dominant leader of asset management software and that a tornado might form though DS disagrees on that last point if I remember correctly. If all that is true, how could Moore not think Peregrine is a candidate?
