WTS, American's are no smarter than Japanese nor is the organizational culture any more superior. America's downfall will be TB. Not Tuberculosis, but Telecom and Banking, who have unprecented indebtedness and will not be able to finance this debt. Factor in a derivatives scandal that puts LTCM to shame and you have a decade of misery. $80 trillion in off-balance sheet derivative positions - how many times more is that than the actual hard assets out there? What a shame the Clinton, Rubin, and Greenspan years were, what a shame. Made a bunch of their cronies rich, but America, particularly Generation X and Y will be the ones to suffer the most.
