Actually i would believe they could be very readable (PMs),

all it takes is one former disgruntled employee to keep a modified pm script and voila. Post it somewhere on the net and PMs are now public. Alternatively if the employee took the source with them, all they would have to do is post the source and let people build their own script.

I'm not saying anyone has done this, but it would be really simple...
