hdl,

I swear I am NOT trying to pick on you, but you shorted Dell in single digits, rode it to its high at 59, and covered and went long (if I am correct) in the low 30s. I know that you know the pain that can come with shorting and I respect your experience.

Dell, at the time that you shorted it, had great fundamentals and was growing revenues and earnings at near a 50% rate.

The difference here is that Amazon does not have great fundamentals, it has lousy fundamentals. Its current business plan will never allow it to make a GAAP profit and its debts will weigh it down for the rest of what I anticipate will be a short remaining existence.

I believe that there is no deal with Walmart (nothing substantial for Walmart to possibly gain) and that the rumor and today's price action are a result of large investors wanting to get out.

Good luck and regards,

Stephen
