I am no longer able to open pictures (.jpg files) by clicking on them. When I click on them nothing happens. Using applications such as MS Photo Draw or Image Expert can open these files. This occurred just after using Norton WinDoctor. I chose to ignore the warning to back up a file before making fixes because in the past I never had any problems and thought that Norton was being overly cautious. Well, that won't happen again. I vaguely remember seeing that the errors were related to active x. I have also been deleting unused applications as well as files in my My Download Files directory. I am not sure what has caused the problem.

SYS Hardware info: Dell laptop
MS win 98 SE 128 MB RAM

PS. I try to scan and read as much as possible from this thread to learn as much as possible about pcs and appreciate the effort that everyone puts in to help others. As a former Mac user I find the pc much more difficult to troubleshoot. I am hoping MS's new OS will be better since it will eliminate DOS from being under the hood..
