chris, the concept that irrationality only strikes on the high side is one that has been tested and failed every time. what was the avg pe at the bottom of the depression? the 70s bear market? earnings are declining and today's cheap can be tomorrow's expensive. japan proved that the markets are not always easy to manipulate w/ rate cuts. just b/c they haven't proved ineffective yet does not mean they won't be. a word to the wise... re: spike. the amzn ignorati have shown themselves to be amazingly easy to manipulate.
