I've just been advised and you may already know that a very large open interest in puts resides at the DJX 100
(equivalent to Dow 10000) and very large open interest in calls resides at 112 (equivalent to Dow 12,000).

Wouldn't this make a market collapse through 10000 or 12000 very unlikely..., because of the financial catastrophe this would bring to the option writing groups.

If it's beginning to look like the breakout will occur this month. I also expect upwards, but not with any strength.
