Yes, but that sidelined money has to have a reason to go into stocks, or it will just stay scared on the sidelines. In Japan, cash has stayed in cash for a decade, because there has been no reason to buy stocks. I don't think that's going to happen here, because we'll find a reason: enough Fed rate cuts, a rebound in consumer spending or sentiment, an earnings season without wholesale warnings/misses, the clearing of inventories, credit becoming available, something. Now I just have to figure out what and when.
