Hmmm. Interesting point. But is the bee really being self-delusional? Or just mistaken. Seems to me there's a difference. Mistakes are easy to make without brains -- look at plants that move toward artificial light presumably under the mistaken impression that it's the sun. But that's not self-delusion, just error. I think true self-delusion does require the use of a brain. But maybe I bee wrong.
