Oh no!, more warnings tonight from Varian Semi, Fairchild Semi, Xilinx, Triquint... I guess the SOX will move higher tomorrow as a result. I wonder if some companies might provide lower than necessary guidance at this point in time, given that stock prices aren't getting whacked as a result. We could call this possible scenario: FD Plus. It would be like taking out a low-cost forecast insurance policy covering the "no-visibility" conditions that we're told exist today. MEMO - TO: Investor Relations, FROM: Board of Directors, Please sign us up for one of those new FD Plus policies they're selling in the Silicon Valley. The price is currently very reasonable and we doubt they'll be offering such low introductory premiums for much longer. <g> AdvocateDevil
