You said you were anthropocentric. I was trying to figure out what you meant when you said it. I know what I mean when I say it about someone (dictionary definition #1): someone who thinks that the most important thing in the world and the universe is humanity. That is a pretty inane belief, IMO, totally unsupported by any data other than a biological ego that is out of proportion with the accomplishments, but a lot of people have it.

People aren't squat if there aren't plants to feed them, minerals to mine, air to breath, oceans to evaporate, animals to render and whatnot. Why people would resist including these elements into their sphere is beyond me. It's like talking about plants but not acknowledging the roots, soil, commensal organisms and whatnot that are part of the plant and its ecology.
