The guy was not a loner, he had people he hung out with. I have no proof the friend wasn't making the whole thing up, but I very much doubt that. Petz, I too understand that the guy wasn't a loner; however, he was small for his age and the butt of jokes. The worst part about this is that the father of one of his friends [probably the one who's interview you heard] was told what the kid was saying this past weekend but apparently did not take the kid's boasting seriously. Its very sad...so many people hurt or dead over something that could have been stopped. ted EDIT. I do not understand why our schools are not taking stronger steps in teaching kids not to make fun of the less popular or smaller or less attractive kids. It should have never gone on at anytime but now its even more imperative that it be stopped.......the gun has become the great equilizer. Unfortunately, some teachers still think they are in high school and contribute to the harassment. Its really sad.
