>>>Immediately available in the U.S. and Canada, prices start at $1,299 for an OptiPlex GX400 that includes an Intel® Pentium 4 processor at 1.3 GHz, 128 MB PC600 RDRAM, 10 GB(1) hard disk drive, integrated 10/100 networking and audio, NVIDIA® TNT2 Pro 16MB AGP card, 1.44 MB floppy disk and CDROM drives. I just went to Dell's site to see this $1,299 computer. It priced out at $1411 w/ no monitor. An OptiPlex GX150 with a P3 1 GHz, 128 MB PC133, 10 GB HD, integrated NIC & Audio, TNT2 PRO, etc, costs $1218.
How many GX400 do you anticipate Dell is going to sell? At a $200 cost disadvantage and with a performance disadvantage to boot, it's obvious that the P4 isn't going to replace the P3 until .13 arrives.
