Greg,

<< I refuse to believe what we have now is it! >>

I think we're essentially on the same page. I am an incurable optimist long term. But I also try to face facts as best I can---good, bad or indifferent---especially near term. I like your excitement looking ahead........and I share it, though sometimes it might be hard to tell from what I post. Matter of fact, I got really excited talking at length to Doug H about CRA just tonight. No ray of light there. More like a floodlight <ggg>.

But you're gonna have to be very patient there, unfortunately. It is just now dawning on Wall Street something that was clearly understood by the operatives at CRA (but nobody else) when they incorporated 3 1/2 years ago: gene sequencing is only the two-bit opening act, a necessary, yet practically an ancillary project compared to what they are really up to, and where they are really going. And given that WS's comprehension is therefore at least 3 1/2 years lagging, and that Celera [aptly named--from the Latin word for speed] has done anything but stand still, I wonder what will happen 3 1/2 years from now, when it begins to dawn on Wall Street the unimaginable power to drive change that will radically alter civilization as we now know it that Celera is uniquely positioned to wield?

Now that's exciting!
