Dear Richie, your comments on SGI and Linux demonstrate to me a conventional limited mind. Your inability to understand the connection between fundamental IR&D in power laser technology and optical properties of materials and advances in communications suggests a comprehension deficit of what you were taught. As to my work,, well 14000 photos, several hundred of which detail some of the systems and products that I have authored are public.

What river is linux swimming in??? Linux allows me to process 300 to 500 photos an hour into web pages. 40 minutes of which is loading and viewing the image for corrections. All programs used are shareware license.

So dear richie, I have nothing to judge you by other than the very poor logic I see in your posts. As to respect, when I see a stupid idea I simply say it's a stupid idea. I've met a few Engineers who had not a clue. SGI is dead meat, we will see. That statement to me is a dumber than dirt qualifier. What company in the last few quarters performed poorly as the could not ship as they were competing wiht Cisco for rare components and built a huge backlog of orders.

What are high performance computers. Cpu's and bags and bags of memory. Like in giga giga bytes well terabytes of memory. What happens to margins if the price of memory drops 10%

If you want to understand how to make money with Linux then read my posts on rhat, lnux and corel They are of course for the short sighted.

If you want to find stuff.. watman.com As I am a leader of youth ( watman.com ) my link page is srubbed to be G rated.
