quantum mechanics is about the randomization of particles

It has more to do with the exchange of information and other states by various modes and the non-determinism of such modes of exchange. QM is a funny beast: it isn't just a random number generator, it says that events are not determined until observed. It also predicts that it matters HOW they are observed ; it is fundamental to the nature of reality. That is a very interesting notion, especially since it is true. Going back to the cave wall analogy, the information stored there lives in an indeterministic state until observed. How it is transmitted is as relevant as the fact that it is observed.

QM also is more analog than digital in that it is fuzzy. No one believes that the higher brain is mapped (something you said) - the most important higher consciousness functions are distributed which suggests a holographic storage system. There are some areas of specialization, but these are all lower centers related to signal processing (like motor, visual, auditory channels). Holography and QM are intricately linked and holographic storage systems use an information transform to represent data in a highly compressed way. This compression results in non-determinism hence the apparent connection to volition (my speculation). That is also why neuroscientists believe that it how consciousness arises because there are structures inside the nerve cells that appear to be able to execute at this level. Now that we are dealing with units smaller than a neuron, QM starts to take an important role because of the scale of the objects that we are looking at.

As for anthropocentrism, it is the belief that humanity is the most important element in the universe. That is the dictionary definition. It works for me: namely, that human-centered activities are all that really matters. I disagree.
