TUCSON, Ariz., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Evince, LLC. today announced three new agreements designed to speed its introduction of innovative products based on knowledge management technology developed at the University of Arizona under Dr. Hsinchun Chen. Evince is a Tucson-based entrepreneurial company in knowledge management applications and is headed by Bill C. Lowe, a former Fortune 500 executive familiar as the "father of the IBM personal computer."
Evince has reached agreements with VIGIC Services and Jerred Capital to provide assistance with financial planning, acquisitions and intellectual property strategies, Lowe said. "It is extremely important at this time to have strong financial partners who not only help you raise money, but can put together the relationships that make a winning combination."
Also today, Evince announced that it has entered an agreement with InfoCast, a Toronto-based developer of leading-edge virtual call center technology. Evince will provide both management and technology development services, assisting InfoCast to produce next-generation applications that combine virtual call-center and e-learning software with sophisticated knowledge management capabilities.
James Malackowski, a principle of VIGIC Services, and Edward B. Berger of Jerred Capital will join the Evince board of directors, Lowe said. They will work together initially to raise $12 million in startup capital for Evince. Malackowski said, "InfoCast and Evince have the kind of technology along with proven executive leadership, which will allow this combination to become a dominant player in the knowledge management space."
Dr. Chen said, "The new technology will allow virtual call centers to more efficiently and effectively leverage their agent know-how in delivering products and services to their customers. The new technology can be applied to e-mail, Web chat and voice deliveries." Lowe and Dr. Chen will both join the InfoCast board of directors to help implement the agreement. Lowe will also serve as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.
