G,
At naz 3000 i made the same case for naz 4000 so i am always nervous making predictions. But what struck me then is analysts urging folks into defensive stocks at or near their highs while shunning tech. Now those analysts seem even more extreme by continuing to recommend this course although i guess they were right the first time. Mike

OT As a youth growing up in the 50's I was terrified of nuclear war. I remember hiding under my desk during school drills thinking that if the real thing happened I would die a horrible death separated from my loved ones. I work with many young folks of Russian heritage and they confirm that their fathers had the same type of fears. That is one of the reasons I love Reagan. He removed the sword of Damocles from over the head of my children as well as all children and I am forever greatful. The second part which is to destroy as many nukes as possible while developing some sort of shield protecting us and our allies and former foes from a stray nuke remains largely undone. Clinton added nothing here. Bush speaks to this issue and will confront the US military when necessary I believe. At the same time we must increase our anti-terrorism efforts to prevent a bomb/biohazard/gas etc from happening within.
