I agree, they are unresolvable in any permanent, uniformly applied way. Our only hope is to use a mechanism like the one I describe which minimizes harm and suffering. I don't think 1937 Germans were seeking outside opinion, trying to reduce total suffering or particularly concerned about the individuals they affected adversely. In fact, everyone who dissented was leaving or being rounded up. That is a model of what not to do.
