just glancing at the faq's uk.research.att.com begins to give one an idea of the potential for difficulty with this virtual network computing tool.

but then again, it's all in how you look at it... the presence of lots of online tech support for a program is an encouraging sight to some.

if i do go forward with this adventure, i will naturally image both operating systems on one pc and i will do a full system backup on the other. "the other" is my win95 machine, on which i have not installed driveimage, but i should.

as much as i think that this (installing VNC) would be fun and educational, i suspect that ultimately i will not because i'd just end up making a federal project out of it, and i don't need the tool being that the darn machines are six feet apart. <g3>

but then again......
