"That is one of the reasons I love Reagan. He removed the sword of Damocles from over the head of my children as well as all children and I am forever greatful."

The sword is still there, Michael. Aside from a relatively unstable political system in Russia there is a relatively new danger in the form of terrorism which can more easily arm itself with nuclear and biological means of mass destruction. Personally, my greatest fear is of a biological terrorist attack. I suspect that the monitoring of nuclear device development by outlaws is easier than monitoring biological proliferation.
BTW, the incident involving our sub and the japanese tourist boat was indeed a tragedy and we should apologize. But isn't it ironic that the japanese have yet to apologize to us for Pearl Harbor?
