Carl, I have a 300K satellite connection. As John Walliker and I were discussing earlier, SI does not provide any information about the thread in the URL. All SI posts on all threads are lumped together sequentially in a single database: For example: siliconinvestor.com It would take almost two years to search the entire SI database of 15,000,000 posts, using the coarse algorithm. If I can search as a logged-in member, I can download 10 messages from a single thread at a time. For example: siliconinvestor.com This would be several orders of magnitude faster, but I haven't yet figured out how to pass my membership information as part of the search. Scumbria
