Mr. Twister,

You're so vague. Sounds like a song title. <g>

On a serious note, it is risky in this business to base investing decisions on rumors. However, as we have witnessed over the last several weeks, those investors with longer time frames have had an opportunity to purchase as many shares of ANCR under $6.00 as they wanted. If these rumors turn out to be true, those who are here on SI will have benefitted from the information shared through this forum. I tend to consider information from previous posters, such as JB to be of a greater value than those from someone like AR, who just pops in, drops a bomb, and leaves. Especially if that information tends to corroborate other information that I have, or if a reasonable tie in can be made.

Another point is that evidently Ancor does not particularly care for our discussions of these rumors. Although I respect and partially understand that view, I don't necessarily agree. They certainly have the right to keep information that might compromise their competitiveness to themselves, and I encourage them to do that. However, if the information is available on the internet, (such as the apparent reference to Ancor switches on the Groupe Bull web site), then their competitors can also access it, if they take the time to look. Sometimes I think Ancor is a little too paranoid. Just work hard to make the best product at a competitive price, and let the competitors nip at your heels.

Frankly, I think Ancor needs a few RAH-RAH guys. We could have abandoned ANCR after the Sequent debacle, but we didn't. Most of us with technical backgrounds still believe in the technology. And most of us that have been with ANCR for a while have paid some pretty expen$ive tuition learning what this company needs to do to be a success, or more accurately, what not to do.
