'Sound-Breaking' May 15th Bongo Boy/Madacy Label Group Release Launches 'Reggae Rocks' Brand

LOS ANGELES, CA, March 6 /PRNewswire/ - On May 15, 2001, Bongo Boy Music and the Madacy Label Group will debut Reggae Rocks - The Tide is High,
the first in a series of six CD's that will feature the world's top reggae artists paying homage to the greatest rock 'n roll songs and artists. The Tide is High is a
compilation disc featuring 18 all-time great classic rock and pop tracks re- recorded with an island spin by the some of the leading reggae artists including Toots and
the Maytals, Gregory Isaacs, Big Mountain, Judy Mowatt and Steel Pulse. Among the artists whose songs are covered include The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Bob
Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and many more of the top names in the rock industry. Throughout 2001 and beyond, Madacy Label Group will release a
series of Reggae Rocks brand tribute albums that will focus on the catalogue of hits from such seminal rock groups and solo artists as The Beatles, The Rolling
Stones and Bob Dylan.

The CD series is a labor of love for producer and creator Henry ``K'', the New York native who started his career working for the legendary Marley Family's Tuff
Gong Recording Studios. Becoming a diehard reggae fan, K now has lived in Jamaica for the past 20 years. His most recent production was the highly successful
The Grateful Dead reggae tribute album, Fire On The Mountain Volumes I & II, which received critical acclaim and sold more than a quarter million units.

``This CD shows that music is truly cross cultural and I hope this album will enable many of reggae's extraordinarily talented musicians to reach a mainstream
audience. As an example, the title track 'The Tide Is High' was originally a reggae song which was taken to the top of the charts by Blondie, and now has been
covered by another reggae band on this CD,'' says 'K.' ``Many of these performers are legendary in their own culture and I believe this project will bring them
worldwide attention.''

Reggae Rocks: The Tide Is High includes the ``The Tide is High'' by The Mighty Diamonds, ``Here Comes The Sun'' by The Burningsouls, ``Feeling Groovy'' by
Sugar Minott, ``Don't Stop'' by Judy Mowatt, ``Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)'' by Chrisinti, ``Maggie May'' by Wayne Arnold, ``Heard it Through The
Grapevine'' and ``Start Me Up'' by Toots and the Maytals, ``Johnny B. Good'' by Yami Bolo, ``We Can Work It Out'' by Steel Pulse, ``D'yer Mak'er'' by
Lehbanchuleh, ``Master Blaster'' by Chalice, ``Fly Like and Eagle'' by Sugar Black, ``Hotel California'' by Edi Fitzroy, ``Blowin in the Wind'' by The Abyssinians,
``Sara Smile'' by Big Mountain, ``(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction'' by The Heptones with General Trees and ``Everybody Wants To Rule The World'' by Ken Boothe.
