"hopefully you didnt buy into the hype"

LOL....I just think its kinda funny how over dramatic one gets on both sides of the coin. We are DEFINITELY near a bottom or have reached it, in my opinion, and it gets comical how bearish everyone talks after coming down so far. The bottom line is that we have come down almost 60% from its highs and it will take some time to renew investors' confidence. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "hype" in that we have come down so far. There are many viable, well run tech companies which WILL be a part of our lives in a big way, but it will take some time to weed through the legitimate ones. I think it has gotten to a point where most investors have come to the realization that " ok, we know this quarter and maybe the next quarters won't meet expectations, but really.... these companies are not going away and will eventually convince the market of their potential" I'm not saying the market won't sell off tomorrow and maybe we'll move down some more ( and we'll be trading the trend , of course) but from the looks of after hours activity ( which is not a true indication) most stocks aren't selling off.

The bottom line is that a little over 5% of the worlds population uses the internet. I mean thats incredible. In my opinion, the potential for a number of these tech companies we are trading is huge. I guess what I'm trying to say is just like we got over zealous about tech stocks when the naz was at 5000, the same principle can be applied to where we are now. At this point I don't consider the potential of these companies to be at all "hype"

I don't know, I guess I'm just ranting here, but I thought it deserved a comment.
