ODB:
Even though I should know better, this morning's little extravaganza surprised me. Last night's news was so darned negative, particularly for XLNX, that I fully expected to find a smoking crater where XLNX used to stand. How silly of me.
I wonder if anybody actually READ the XLNX news release before they bought? "February weaker than expected", "decelerating bookings", "ongoing cancellations from a broad base of customers", "first two months down over 20%", "inventories = SEVEN months", etc., etc. They don't get much worse than this, yet somehow the sheep were persuaded to BUY this disaster. Yesterday, things at XLNX were presumed to be in good shape, and the stock was selling for $42. Today, the company's world is coming apart at the seams and they buy it at $45. Brilliant.
Not that I am complaining, nor even interested if this gift horse has a mouth. (g)
