Insightful Updates 1Q 2001 Guidance; Company No Longer Providing Guidance for the Year 2001
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2001--Insightful Corporation (Nasdaq:IFUL, news, msgs), formerly MathSoft, Inc., a leading provider of solutions for predictive analysis, data mining and business intelligence, today announced that due to economic softness in several of the markets which the company serves, it has reduced its revenue guidance for first quarter 2001 to be in the range of $3.8M to $4.0M and its earnings to be between a loss of $0.01 per share and a profit of $0.01 per share.
Insightful has revised its operating plan for slower growth in 2001 while continuing to invest in product development, key sales and marketing initiatives and maintaining a strong balance sheet. Based on reduced visibility for the remainder of this year, Insightful does not presently intend to provide new or updated guidance for the foreseeable future, and any earlier indications provided by the company should not be viewed as indicative of management's current estimates of future results. |
