OT - James, Most people do not realize the extent of the Nortel marketing operation on a worldwide basis. Nortel has been selling equipment in China for the past 25 years. Nortel got its big push in 1976 with their digital switches.
They developed their worldwide sales network to sell those digital switches and the sales network is still there. They have a much more extensive sales operation on a worldwide basis than any other company including Cisco, Lucent, Ericsson, Nokia etc.
