In highschool speech class we had to give a sales talk. I gave mine on my Ruana sheath knife, and it was one of the best speeches I gave the whole course. My classmates were even impressed. Today, like you said, <<We would all be expelled today for carrying a weapon. >> I would be arrested for carrying a weapon.

I have loved my Ruana knife since I bought it with trapping money in 1956. I paid $10 for it then. I saw one going for $600 on eBay. But I wouldn't take a million.

I understand some of the paranoia. My sister is a teacher. One of her sixth graders threatened to kill her. In minutes, he was in the custody of the principal. The next day police caught him on the street with a firearm. He doesn't go to school there anymore.
