According to IBD, the reason that CIEN is doing well while NT suffers is that CIEN sells to Sprint which is fiber-poor; NT sells to Worldcom which is fiber-rich. So it's just a matter of time when CIEN warns because if Worldcom is not expanding, Sprint will slow down too.
