QUALCOMM's Anthony Thornley Joins Wireless Knowledge Board of Directors
SAN DIEGO, Mar 7, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Wireless Knowledge, Inc., a Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:
MSFT chart, msgs) and QUALCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM chart, msgs) company, today announced that
Anthony S. Thornley has joined the company's board of directors to further support plans to penetrate global
markets.
Presently, Thornley is executive vice president and chief financial officer at QUALCOMM. He joined
QUALCOMM in March 1994 as vice president and CFO, was promoted to senior vice president in February
1996 and to executive vice president in November 1997.
Thornley joins Wireless Knowledge's existing board of directors that includes executives from both Microsoft and
QUALCOMM who play a key role in the mobility strategies of their respective organizations.

Thornley is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and received his bachelor of
science degree in chemistry from the University of Manchester, England.
