WaveRider Granted FCC Approval For Its Wireless Non-Line-Of-Sight Modem Industry Approvals Enable Ongoing Development Of WaveRider's Leading Product Families TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2001-- WaveRider Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:WAVC - news) today announced it has received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada for its LMS3000 wireless modem.
The LMS3000, the latest addition to WaveRider's Last Mile Solution( product family, is the first wireless network to deliver Internet access at speeds up to 1 megabit per second to small business and residential users via non-line-of-sight technology.

The LMS3000 will be officially launched at the IWCE show in Las Vegas from March 28 to 30, 2001.
WaveRider also announced today it has received Industry Canada approval for its newest 2.4 GHz radio, which will be incorporated into its NCL and LMS systems.
