Chucky, minimum file size is primarly an operating system limitation. Windows-NT, for example, does not have this problem. Not sure what the minimum allocation unit on NT is, but it is small, and does not go up with drive size.

The sectors on the hard disk are generally 512 bytes, no matter what the size of the drive, so this is the REAL minimum allocation unit.
