my information is that 80% of those folks fired were from GNET. The fired folks think that since Go2net was making money going into the merger and the old infospace was lets say not doing as well that it is strange that this happened in this way...in their view you would think that layoffs would be in areas not making money or not doing as well so the fired pool should have actually been much more old infospace people and not gnet people...the contention is I believe that the layoffs were politically motivated...that is by virtue of infospace management concerns regarding loyalty and that this is the only reason some folks got fired.......if true are these legal grounds to fire someone? maybe not but I am sure done all the time and certainly could be defended without any problem..........this will be ripe for my talents Yes folks its the Crusher vs Crushees
