What the h_ _ l are they talking about? OPTera long haul 1600 integrates SONET and DWDM. It allows the carrier to decide what protocol to run - SONET, ATM, IP etc. The product is selling very well. OPTera will sell even better when fully integrated with Qtera and Connect HDX as well as the PX switch. Networks who have already installed the Nortel product will upgrade their networks with the Nortel product. Nortel's slowdown in sales is spread between optical, wireless and broadband access. Remember that optical, including components, is only 1/3 of their revenue. This is a poorly written article.<<
