I am placing an order to short 1000 shares of Amazon at 12 3/4 good for the day. Don't know if I'll get it. And then I'll play derivatives on good stocks. I do not the chances of getting your short to execute as being good. Derivatives on a good stock sound find. This is a good time to write naked puts which seems to be your plan.
