There has to be a major reason the NASD would halt a stock all day for a simple news announcement. Could it be that YHOO could actually surprise to the upside, which would be a miracle, but possible. And, the NASD knows this already, therefore institutions are trying to get their fill, before the markets take off on such news, or could it be the exact opposite and the markets sell-off??? Interesting times ahead.

Edit: Wasn't it YHOO that started the major rally after the Oct 98 crash by releasing better than expected earnings?
